• In the right-pane, delete the value named PerfcplEnabled (if found).
• Repeat the same in the following key:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ SOFTWARE \ Policies \ Microsoft \ Windows \ Control Panel \ Performance Control Panel

• Exit Registry Editor.
